Tractivity Connect 2
Installation for Macs
Before downloading Tractivity Connect 2 below, please read the following:
The Tractivity Bluetooth USB Adapter is only needed if your Mac does not have Bluetooth 4.0 built in.
If you need to use the Tractivity Bluetooth USB Adapter, you must ensure that your Mac is running Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. And if you are already using Bluetooth peripherals (e.g. mouse, keyboard, trackpad), the following steps are required to ensure that those peripherals become paired to the Tractivity Bluetooth USB Adapter.
Turn off the Bluetooth peripherals (either via a switch on them or by removing batteries), and wait for the OS to show “Lost Connection” for each device (this can take 10-20 seconds).
Insert the Tractivity Bluetooth USB Adapter into a USB port on the Mac.
Turn the Bluetooth peripherals back on.
If this is the first time you have ever used the Tractivity Bluetooth USB Adapter, you will need to pair your Bluetooth peripherals with it. This only needs to be done once, after which the OS will automatically connect to them each time the computer wakes.
The small size of the Tractivity Bluetooth USB Adapter makes it practical to leave it inserted in a USB port at all times.
